چکیده

We consider equivariant dimensional reduction of Yang-Mills theory on Kähler manifolds of the form M×CP 1×CP . This induces a rank two quiver gauge theory on M which can be formulated as a Yang-Mills theory of graded connections on M . The reduction of the Yang-Mills equations on M×CP 1×CP 1 induces quiver gauge theory equations on M and quiver vortex equations in the BPS sector. When M is the noncommutative space R θ both BPS and nonBPS solutions are obtained, and interpreted as states of D-branes. Using the graded connection formalism, we assign D0-brane charges in equivariant K-theory to the quiver vortex configurations. Some categorical properties of these quiver brane configurations are also described in terms of the corresponding quiver representations.

Quiver Gauge Theory of Nonabelian Vortices and Noncommutative Instantons in Higher Dimensions

We construct explicit BPS and non-BPS solutions of the Yang-Mills equations on the noncommutative space R θ ×S2 which have manifest spherical symmetry. Using SU(2)-equivariant dimensional reduction techniques, we show that the solutions imply an equivalence between instantons on R θ ×S2 and nonabelian vortices on R θ , which can be interpreted as a blowing-up of a chain of D0-branes on R θ into...

SU(3)-Equivariant Quiver Gauge Theories and Nonabelian Vortices

We consider SU(3)-equivariant dimensional reduction of Yang-Mills theory on Kähler manifolds of the form M × SU(3)/H , with H = SU(2) × U(1) or H = U(1) × U(1). The induced rank two quiver gauge theories on M are worked out in detail for representations of H which descend from a generic irreducible SU(3)-representation. The reduction of the Donaldson-UhlenbeckYau equations on these spaces induc...

6 Noncommutative Complete Intersections and Matrix Integrals

We introduce a class of noncommutatative algebras called representation complete intersections (RCI). A graded associative algebra A is said to be RCI provided there exist arbitrarily large positive integers n such that the scheme Rep n A, of n-dimensional representations of A, is a complete intersection. We discuss examples of RCI algebras, including those arising from quivers. There is anothe...

Quiver Gauge Theory and Noncommutative Vortices

We construct explicit BPS and non-BPS solutions of the Yang-Mills equations on noncommutative spaces R θ × G/H which are manifestly G-symmetric. Given a G-representation, by twisting with a particular bundle over G/H , we obtain a Gequivariant U(k) bundle with a G-equivariant connection over R θ × G/H . The U(k) Donaldson-Uhlenbeck-Yau equations on these spaces reduce to vortex-type equations i...

Galilean noncommutative gauge theory: symmetries & vortices

Noncommutative Chern-Simons gauge theory coupled to nonrelativistic scalars or spinors is shown to admit the “exotic” two-parameter-centrally extended Galilean symmetry, realized in a unique way consistent with the Seiberg-Witten map. Nontopological spinor vortices and topological external-field vortices are constructed by reducing the problem to previously solved self-dual equations.
